Just catching up on my Substack reads. Love your reports, your honesty about the topsy-turvy emotions of expat-ness. Indeed, you’re in the southern hemisphere! I’d offer some ancient Jewish wisdom about the lunar calendar and seasons, but it’s all northern hemisphere based. While we here move into autumn, you’re moving into spring! Sending love, strength, and humor to accompany you on your journey.

Two ideas 1 : lift those grills off the floor and cover the pipe w plastic wrap. Those gases are not safe Or pour water down all three perhaps it will seal them like under our sinks here. 2: your jug and cups look like they hold wine very nicely 🍷🍷

I like the plastic wrap idea. I’ll definitely try it. And you’re right about the wine.

So how does one send anything to their lived ones turning 40 in mere moments? Does cold hard cash via venmo even do you any good?!?

It’s impossible! Venmo cash is always welcome, lol. We’ve got lots of Uruguayan splurging ahead!
